Bring your family out for a free two hour night hike and learn about the sights, smells and sounds of nature at night.

Attendees need to make sure to wear closed-toe shoes, bring water, and insect repellent. Attendees will be walking around with their very own Naturalist Master throughout the entire walk. The Naturalist Masters are a corps of well-informed volunteers that help provide education, outreach, service, and are dedicated to the beneficial management of natural resources and natural areas within their communities for the State of Texas. Many communities and organizations rely on such citizen volunteers for implementing youth education programs in operating parks, nature centers, and natural areas. They also provide leadership in local natural resource conservation efforts. In fact, a short supply of dedicated and well-informed volunteers are often cited as a limiting factor for community-based conservation efforts.

The Naturalist Masters will guide attendees and inform them about their very own Mockingbird Nature Park. The walk starts at 7:30 p.m. and ends at 9:30 p.m., and will feature a 1/2 mile of walking, enjoying nature, and identifying native wildflowers to in the park. Everyone is invited and there is no charge to enter.

See you there!
